The host was super nice and helped us out when needed. Also the garden was nice and relaxed.

Location is I short ride from the center, but this is nog a problem.

The stay in Alumbug cottage was very nice, we loved the place and the tranquility. We especially enjoyed our stay thanks to Tata, the lady who looked after the place, she was very welcoming and we enjoyed her company very much. Although the roosters and the planes flying out from Panglao airport are a bit loud at night (we recommend earplugs) it is still definitely worth staying here. Beautifully decorated and looked after!

Very Good

We really liked the unique house. And the breakfast was great! The people were nice and helpful. I liked the curtain over the bed. The swimming pool was also nice, though we didn't use it much.

The roosters are really crazy, the screaming was so much louder than I expected and I was staying at a cottige once with a rooster underneath! Plus the sound on the plane woke us up (and we were wearing earplugs all the time). The pillow was shaking and my heart too :) The location is quite away from alona beach, so we had to take many tricycle rides adn walked home only once. I wound wish we'd book a room at alona beach, which is still not so touristy and loud as other SE Asia touristic places... Maybe also the stairs down from the bedroom to the bathroom aren't so convenient for someone who has to go to the toilet during the night (I would recommend different room).

Lovely place!

The place is really really nice. I had the Queen Size Bedroom and my friends had one of the Villas....both are worth the money and the garden is also very lovely to chill in.

While the location is great to get around Panglao, the way the area has developped, you cannot quite eacape the airport and Party relaxed noises. But we had prolonged our stay from 2 to 3 days anyway, because this is just a minor thing and if you only stay a few days it's totally fine.

I like the nature of the place! All the trees,plants. I like the peaceful and the house with balcony. I like Tata you receive us. She is nice and helpful. I like the pool, clean and perfect to cool down when it gets hot - Cédric and Harriet

Superb

Everything is great. We enjoyed our stay in the villa, with our own pool. We ended up extending 2 more nights. The manager and her kids are very friendly and helpful - they welcomed us like their family, cleans the villa everyday. The owners (currently in France) are also hands-on during our stay. Definitely recommending this place to everyone.

What was the highlight of Alumbung Cottages

My stay was within my expectations still.

I liked that the location of the property is away from the busy neighborhood of Alona and Panglao. I also liked that the property is well-planned in a way that upon entering you dont get to see everything all at once. The small turns and corners give the property a sense of spaciousness, hence, it becomes interesting as you walk around. The wi-fi was decent. I liked that Ate Tata (the care-taker) is very accommodating. And most of all, I like that the property is designed to respect personal spaces/bubbles.

I was hoping that i will get to use one of the traditional cottages as reflected in my reservation form, but sad to say, I was relegated to a concrete space. Every time I get back, at the end of each day, there would always be at least 2 animal droppings inside the room, not sure though from what animals are those. Not sure if the PhP270 worth of breakfast (i requested for a piece of dried fish, then Ate Tata just added in a cup of rice, 2 sunny side up eggs, a piece of banana and a quarter of an apple (which felt like i got the remainder of what they have eaten, hahaha, and a cup of instant coffee) using utensils that somewhat looked like the same being used by the staff was worth it - although, I did have breakfast in the property twice. The initial release of water from the shower smelled badly. I hesitated in using the Air-con and the personal refrigerator since upon arriving they weren't turned on and I wasn't told that I can use them.
